Now its little siblings have been added to this wonderfully varied series of tables – in new sizes, varying designs and with slightly different temperaments. “Matsumoto started life in the Japanese city of the same name as a coffee table in a ceramics showroom combined with a children’s bookshop. Now we have pulled the soft, rounded shapes of the base plate and table top closer to each other in these new variations of a coffee or side table. It makes the juxtaposition between the shapes even clearer.”
